There are some stories in Septerra Core. The most important one is the legend of Marduk. Other stories are: The Chosen and the Watchers Septerra The Underlost The curse of Draxx The Wars between Ankara and Jinam The story after the the defeat of Doskias Septerra Long ago, the Creator created the world of Septerra. It was a world with seven Shells rotating around one central Core. The Spine regulates the movement of the Shells. The Core harnesses energy from those movements and radiates it in the world. This energy is used by the Spine to move the Shells. The Creator created this way an eternal equilibrium. The Creator also made two Core keys. Once every 100 years, there's a gap through the Shells, so enough light can reach the Core activating the central computer. At that moment the twin keys can be used to unlock the Gift of the Creator. Some say that the gift is kingdom of heaven The legend of Marduk Long ago, the daemon Gemma appeared in the world of Septerra. His army consisted of other daemons. There were also humans in it, some wanting to have some of Gemma's power, other fearing that power and joining it. Gemma searched the Core keys. Those keys could unlock the Gift of the Creator. Razing over the seven Shells like a plague, he finally found the keys. He gave himself another present: the angel Kyra. He wanted to marry her. To await the Conjunction when the keys could be used, he hid himself in a fort. Desperate, the Creator sent his only son, Marduk, to fight Gemma. Marduk started by building an army. He gathered soldiers from every Shell, so his army was called the Army of the seven winds. But, where could he find Gemma? Help came in from Dogo the trickster, who was in Gemma's fort. Dogo convinced Gemma to give Kyra a mirror, so she could make herself beautiful. With this mirror Kyra could send signals to Marduk. Marduk saw these signals and went to Gemma. In a battle that raged for over 100 days, he finally defeated Gemma, throwing him in the Pits of Janaak. He convinced Gemma's daemons to fight against Gemma. The Chosen and the Watchers After the battle, Marduk hid the keys teaching the world was not ready to receive the Gift of the Creator. He ruled his people with his queen Kyra from the city of Babylon. To lead his people after his dead, he prophesied that the keys will be found and used to save the world from destruction. He also said that to find enlighten one, he must go trough darker parts. After him, the Chosen (Marduk's people) discovered that energy can be harnessed from the Spine. This made the Chosen go to the upper Shell. They also learned how to use Helgak (an animal) for ships: they let Helgak simply grow to ships. Their brains become the main computer, their cells become crew compartments and their skins armor. The Chosen took Marduks prophecy literally (the one to find enlightenment) and started to battle each other, but still having one common emperor. However, there was a group who disagreed with the Chosen to fight. They thought Marduks prophecy was not literally and that the dark part was the dark part in yourself. They retreated from the Chosen and soon they moved out of their mortal body. They became a kind of spirit, but they also have a metal body, made from the junk the people from Oasis sent them. The Underlost In the time of Marduk, priest were sent to the Core. They were made blind, to see what other could not see. They wandered the Core for a long time, but at one day they could not find the way back. This made them live on Shell 7. They evolved under the radiation of the Core. They got a tail and they got a luminescent patch on their head so they can communicate with each other. They also can sent and receive radar waves. With those waves they can e.g. sense doric ore (the blood of the earth) and trigger switches. They discovered almost no new technologies, so they still work with stone tools. Because they are primitive and they can't withstand some sounds, they were used to mine the core and win the mineral corite. The curse of Draxx A long time ago, there was a rich man living on Shell 3. To find immortality, he learned himself the "art" of resurrection, the necromantion. He created the catacombs under Mourn Graveyard, South Farm and Wind City. His curse resurrects the dead. Some people see their dead friends back at the graveyard, -as an undead. At night, these horrors appear from their graves. Also inhabiting these dark places are some kind of monsters and floating skulls. This curse was the downfall of many small towns. Wind City and South Farm were the only towns survived thanks to walls and the Holy Guard. On the other side of the mountains there is another town called Armstrong that survived. This was not by walls, but a seal protects it. The wars between Ankara and Jinam On Shell 5 are two large nations; Ankara and Jinam. They have advanced weapons and ships of steel and other metals, not like those of the organic ones of the Chosen. Together they have a fleet that could defeat the Chosen, but most of the time, their weapons are aimed at each other. They discovered the valuable mineral corite. They both mined the Core, but a war came between them. Ankara won and Jinam wasn't happy. Ankara began mining corite again. Jinam sent secret teams to destroy the mining operations and ther was a new war. The wars for corite are called the "Resource war". And recently, the president of Jinam is killed by pirates of Connor. Doskias hired them so he could go to the Core: At this time Jinam accuses Ankara and they are fighting again... |
